An Islamic theologian, mystic and magician Ahmad ibn `Alī al-Būnī  wrote around 40 Arabic books on Islamic esoterica and magic having a special facility with the theology of talismanic configurations of the Names of God. Most of his work is unedited and unpublished save for a few non-critical editions. He is much more than an eccentric magician...
